How to publish a book

I want to print a book. How to do it?

As a potential author interested in the book printing process, you have several steps you can take to make your creation a reality. Our printing press can be a valuable partner in this process. Here is a general overview of the book manufacturing process and how the printing press can assist you.

  • Manuscript Preparation: First, you need to have the text of your book ready in a digital format. Use a text editor to adjust formatting, headings, chapters, indents, fonts, and more.
  • Editing and Proofreading: It is recommended to go through an editing and proofreading process for your text to ensure its quality and accuracy. This may involve reviewing, correcting errors, making stylistic edits, and changes that enhance your text.
  • Formatting and Design: Once your text is ready, you need to address formatting and design considerations. You can either perform this process yourself or rely on us as professionals. Our designers can advise you on font selection, size, indents, image placement, and other design elements.
  • An important step in book publishing is assigning it an International Standard Book Number (ISBN). An ISBN is a unique identifier that allows for the unambiguous identification of each book. You can register yourself as a publisher to obtain this number or seek the services of a publishing house. Our printing press also provides this service to save you time.
  • Choosing the Printing Type: A crucial decision is selecting the printing type. Offset printing is usually used for large print runs as it can be cost-effective. Digital printing is suitable for smaller print runs or situations that require personalization (e.g., books with personalized covers). The printing press can recommend the best option based on your needs and budget.
  • Printing a Proof Copy: We have the capability to print one or several proof copies of your book for quality and appearance checks. You can assess colors, fonts, layout, and other details before proceeding with the full print run.
  • Printing the Final Print Run: After approving the proof copy, the printing press will initiate the printing and production process for the complete print run of the book. They will ensure high-quality printing, adherence to your design requirements, and include options for softcover or hardcover, binding, stitching, glueing, etc.
  • Packaging and Delivery: Once the printing and binding are completed, the printing press will package your books according to your needs. We can arrange delivery to your address, or you can choose to pick them up from the printing press yourself.

Offset printing is one of the most common printing methods used for mass production of printed materials such as books, magazines, brochures, postcards, and other documents.
